we all go through times in life where we question our sanity. i'm sure we have all asked the question 'will i ever be okay again?'.

it is in those moments when I am moved to tears by the love that surrounds me. dear souls from near and far sending love and prayers. it is overwhelming to have friends and family that will love you even when you are hard to love. people that will believe on your behalf (because in that moment you don't believe it) that 'yes, you will get through this and yes, you will be okay.'

this is what i am truly grateful for right now.

back to the stone age

Ever wonder what you did before facebook, myspace, blogging or email?? well wondering no longer... my computer has been at the doctor for the past couple weeks (hence the lack of blogs, don't worry i haven't given up on this blog just yet. things I have done with having no computer.....

read not one, but two books... both of which i would highly recommend....AND....

though it is a bit of a hassle having to try and beg people to use their computers for a short minute or two, and besides feeling completely out of the loop in every area of life... having no computer hasn't been as bad as i thought. maybe these little break will cause me to keep off as Betty White would say 'the facebook' a little more once my best friend comes back from the doctor.

Blackberries = Love

now that I have ventured out of my parents nest to the far off land of Edmonton it's always nice and slightly strange (being a visitor) to come home and stay in the 'guest' room at my parents place. I get special treatment when I visit, things such as my favorite home cooked meals and freshly washed sheets.


the best part about coming home are the blackberries that are waiting for me in the fridge. not because they are my favorite fruit but because to me blackberries = love. blackberries are my favorite treat to have in my cereal at breakfast. i know that no one else in my family enjoys them but without fail every time I'm home my dad has a big bin of them waiting for me. within 20 minutes of walking through the front door dad never fails to mention 'your blackberries are in the fridge'.

though it seems like a small gesture that could easily be overlooked, sometimes it's the smallest things that leave a mark on our hearts.

there's a first for everything

My first entry into the world of 'blogging'. This blog is meant to be an outlet for me to share the things that have moved me in some sort of way.
